Templar
I have no mentor and never had one. I had students in the past. My thoughts on this all are these: I am a mindful person, through this I gathered that what I know and that I share with others. Some consider me to be what you may see as a mentor, a guide, an instructor. But I see myself as something else - it is found under the hierarchy of the name "Templar".
How I see or understand "Templar" and why I sometimes like to illude myself with this brand is a result of the following: Basically, the word "Templar" means that one was a knight of a religious military order established in the early 12th century in Jerusalem for protection of pilgrims and the "Holy Sepulcher". But years have passed, and today we face a modern society in which religious believes play a mutual role. For one the religious belief holds values, for the other it holds nothing but a facsimile of ancient times.
Concerning "Templars", once you level this down to our society and our time, you can see a "Templar" as a knight and representative of a spiritual or religious order (or group in general).
As a "Templar" was protecting pilgrims in the past, I am somehow doing this with the Jedi Culture, too. Not protecting in the ways of arms and weaponry, but showing effective pro and contra criticizm - showing a way how you can see or understand things, and what kind of results you might get. But in the end, I dare to leave it up to everyone what they do next.
Yes, in the end, a "Templar" is like a guide, or a guardian - because I take it to be a part of my duty: Templars have to take the care of the person, or the intellectual property of a person. And since such is a part of my duty, I am protecting - or I am under some sort of precautious alert for new things that may become harmful or are nothing else but harmless hoaxes.
