The Death at Heavensgate - Judging the Balance
The long travel through hyperspace had begun, and in the moments of peace and inner calmness, he whispered to himself: "The darker side of the Force is your need, your desire, your thought. It makes you, it will construct you, it will give you the power to feed your mind with the life of the universe."
The blue flickering light embraced the cockpit while the small ship raced towards its destination. He observed the light as it changed each second by the rapid speed through which the ship pushed through time and space. The deep meditation granted him the necessary peace for his commitment. He was at peace as he repeated his oath silently. Peace gave him strength.
"With the dark side of the force, you are stronger. You can act faster, lighter and more powerful than others," he mentioned after another long moment of silence.
"Tempting it is, luring it is, seductive it is. This is the Dark Side of the Force. Consume it if you can, lay it off if you cannot. It is always present, there is no escape of your destiny," his words echoed in his mind. Did he speak again? He was unsure, but searched through his feelings.
"Be warned of the dark side," he said, "it makes you so strong. And in time you shall learn more, my young apprentice." He was an unborn foe, acting on the stage of balanced fate.
His hand moved quickly over the keypads as he woke up, leaving the trance as he concentrated again on his task. Patiently he calculated the possible size of the enemy. Only a few hundreds to challenge. They never expanded their legions over a few thousands in numbers including all their breeding comrades. The enemy's leadership was in vain again. And they knew the challenge would bring a time of darkness as they would be dealt with swift power.
He knew Yoda was one of them. He was so young, so weak, and nearly defeated at the time when he challenged him the first time. But he was granted permission to become stronger. The early days of power were long ago, and by now Yoda was already dying. And for himself time never mattered.
He was weakened to an extent to where the Dark Side of the Force may once again take control and rule over the Galaxy as its shadow. It was a vicious circle, it was unavoidable. As the goodness was placed in power, the darkness choose to wait. It has been done once so it will be done again. He had foreseen the future. And he was well aware of what is meant to come. The Empire will make its valiant return and then will make way for the Final Order. The Dark Empire.
He knew he would be the judge, allowing the Darksiders to rise in power, to defeat the Jedi to near extinct. The circle had to be completed... and recreated.
