Y2K: The Year of the Creed

The Jedi Creed was at its height in the year 2000. People from around the world contacted the members explaining the significant impact it had on them. It was, indeed, a period of awakening for many.

The Triumvirate also grew as individuals, especially after the UJC project the following year. Mitth'raw'nurida's Star-Network, for example, was very popular at the time and literally changed the way chat rooms and role play were conducted.

Yet it was Relan Volkum and Streen, maturing as Mitth had in the past, who made a very significant impact towards the Jedi philosophy. It was Streen who, after a discussion with Olorin, helped restructure and recreate the Jedi Temple as it still exists today. His written lectures for other websites were very valuable and referred to often. And Relan Volkum, following a similar path as Mitth had, went on to become the founder of the DEGA project (a gathering which helped strengthen Jedi websites), the Jedi United Mailing Project (based on the UJC), the Jedi United, and the Jedi Organization websites.

By the middle of the year, the Jedi Creed was seen to be complete, having served its purpose. The Creed members stopped placing updates around August of 2000.

It was a year of work well spent.

Many thought this was pretty much the end of the Creed experience. And it would had, if not for a media website article and a small group of people printing "Jedi" on the New Zealand census.
