The New Belief
Mitth'raw'nurida, Streen, and Relan Volkum created a formula which would change the way Jedi were perceived. Gone were the role playing personifications of the past. What came in its place is what years later would be called Jedi Realism.
The three established a common belief: Jedi could exist in real life. They were not bound to fictional situations, such as role playing. This was a very radical concept in mid-1999. Yes, there were a handful of websites at the time taking realistic ideas about the Jedi from fictional Jedi, studying them, even acting upon them. But the belief that a Jedi actually could exist on this Earth was what people even today consider bizarre and on the edge of insanity.
What made this belief creditable was having a solid separation between fantasy and realism: Jedi do not require powers depicted in Star Wars. They do not have lightsabers or wear robes. They do not need to be very young to be trained. They do not affiliate themselves with a government, or travel to a temple. They don't even have to know of Star Wars, Yoda, or George Lucas.
The Triumvirate saw Jedi based on a mind set. A frame of mind, a way of life. It didn't succumb to becoming a religion. It didn't even have to act under an organization for that matter. It was because a Jedi was based on a set of moral, ethical principles - similar to a Philanthropist or a Vegetarian.
These new-founded ideals started to make way in new writings for the Jedi Council. Mitth provided the clinical aspects, while Streen brought simplistic nature and Relan brought conceptual depth. New sections started to be added. Forums were created. And more and more people started to note our work. Within a few months, the Jedi Council began to take on a new, radical appearance.
This appearance lead to the creation of the Jedi Creed.
