Resurrection

Because I have been away from the Jedi Community for so long, as well as being away from the Jedi Creed even longer, I felt it was necessary to create a new article entitled "Resurrection" for two very important reasons:

The first is rather obvious - the Jedi Creed has been resurrected from the Internet void in the form it once took many years ago. Where in the beginning of Creed I was the student, I have returned as the teacher. It is my hope that the Jedi Creed will serve its former purpose in being the origin from which many people seek spiritual wisdom through the vessel we call Jedi. It is my feeling that the situation here can be likened to the saying, "If you build it, they will come," just as it once was.

The second reason I called this article "Resurrection" is a personal one. Some of you know that the cause of my hiatus was due to a car accident I was involved in on the 6th of April, 2005. Even fewer of you, however, know the circumstances of that accident. While I will not delve into those circumstances here, it will suffice to say the old me perished in that accident, and I was reborn as the person I am today.

As a result of my own "resurrection," I have come to realize many things, one of which being my relationship with God and the understanding that the Jedi are not so different from the Christians I know today. It is therefore my mission to help more people see things from this perspective, not in the sense of forcing my beliefs on others, but to form a bridge between what, to many people, seems to be a very large philosophical gap.

Thus, I write this in preparation, for the first steps toward my goal, and of others for the changes about to take place here. The first being my dropping the title "Jedi" from the signature of my articles. I have become much more than that name suggests, and so you should find that my writings no longer contain it beside my chosen Internet alias. The second change is a slight difference in the logo, featuring a less prominent Jedi in Star Wars (Bariss Ofee) and Obi-Wan Kenobi, as opposed to the former images of Darth Maul and Lord Sidious, hopefully symbolizing for you a new life here. The third change has been a more personal one - an alteration of all my writing here and the complete deletion of some. I felt some of the knowledge was either irrelevant or simply incorrect as a result of my experiences since their original date of creation.

It is with profound excitement that I welcome you to the new era of Jedi Creed. As we always have, we intend to inspire you into realizing your abilities...
