A New Section in the Works...

No Content on Updated Links...No Problem (Yet)

Well, as you can see, we continued our updating from the Database section to the Lecture section. And, as with both updates, there are new links benefiting from the subcategory navigation system newly established.

Unlike the Database section, there is no content added yet to any of the new links. How come, you ask? Becuase we are going to totally rearrange the lectures from old areas into the newly-developed areas. We are also going to be including not only material mailed and posted to this website over the years, but also material included in extinct websites and (hopefully) most of the currently established websites.

Material from extinct websites should be hardly a problem, since they are already archived on online archives or my saved disks (except from the old Jediism Website, which expressly gave no permission for anyone to copy their material - which has made it difficult to publicly list works such as the 21 Maxims). Material from currently established websites, though, may need to be external linked, depending on the circumstances. Whatever the case, we will have links to whatever content is available (thanks to online archives and our dedication of saving just about anything we can get our hands on).

Since none of the lectures (already contained in the Library) are listed within the links yet, we are going to place it in a temporarily lecture folder for you to view:

Folder Containing Already Posted Lectures

Enjoy for the meantime while I get busy working (I'm going to take a good while break though, I'm tired). You can mail me (using relan@thejedi.org) if you have any questions, comments, suggestions, anything you would like to mention about concerning this section.

And just in case you are wondering why I am making incremental updates publicly instead of doing it all at once - it seems to be a very effective method of getting things done instead of waiting for an outside date.

 What is the Library?

The Library is a facility in which JEDI archives not only lectures, but artistic works (such as stories or poems), organized projects, academic courses, archived material from other Jedi websites, and more informative material. The most important resource here, though, are lectures.

Lectures at JEDI are specific, well-produced lessons or senarios which explain an idea, a concept, a theory, and so on, presented by a author or speaker. A lecture is generally known to be in a specific form of writing, such as prose, but it can also exist as a research project, a music piece, a graphic visual, a dialogue, or another creative method. It can be a very short writing, such as a length of a passage, or it can be as long as a book. There is really no limit as to what a lecture can be or look like.

What service do lectures give us? Lectures allow us to present material about the Jedi, the Force, or other related topics, in a way people can read, look, or hear. They are presented as if coming from a teacher at a real-life lecture hall. They are made to be as informative as possible. By keeping them highly informative, they help share knowledge and wisdom to others who have yet to experience these things.

 We Want Your Lectures!

You do not have to be a very experienced person to have a lecture put up in this section. It doesn't matter to us if you are a JEDI Member or not. Just send in your Lecture to us and we'll see if it can be put on the website. Mail us using lectures@thejedi.org, send us your lecture, and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
